Winter Clothing for Orphans
One of our colleagues in St. Petersburg recently informed us that all ten of her affiliate orphanages are low on high-quality winter clothing for their kids. Dennis Shiraev recently delivered several hundred items (hats, gloves, scarves) to our beneficiary orphanages during his Spring Break trip, but we will continue to collect items throughout the summer. Several of our colleagues will be visiting in the winter to deliver the clothing items.

Glasses in St. Petersburg Orphanages

After the phenomenal response that we got from Orphanage #40, we at SHG have decided to run several more of these “eye wear donation” projects in the St. Petersburg Orphanage System. We are currently in the process of locating potentially needy orphanages. If you have any knowledge of orphanages in the St. Petersburg area that might need this kind of subvention, please contact one of our representatives.

Sponsoring The Harbor
The Harbor is residential transitional program for emancipated orphans in St. Petersburg, Russia. Its purpose is to house and develop emancipated teenage orphans, preparing them for careers and lives as model citizens. This is a most worthy organization. With more funding, we feel that they could expand operations and set a standard for other orphanage houses to follow. At Share and Help, we want to become a primary sponsor for financing the Harbor. We recently made several donations to the Harbor, one of which paid for new flooring in the girls’ apartment. On the other hand, this is just a start. As our organization grows and expands operations, we will make more and more substantial contributions to the Harbor and its residents
